BSI strengthens and increases resources for the nonprofit sector in Montana and other Philanthropic Divide states. We carry out research, dissemination, education, leadership development and special projects tailored to the infrastructure development priorities of each state's nonprofit sector.
BSI's approach stands apart from the conventional because we develop sustainable statewide structures and resources to assist nonprofits in building their own capacities to effectively deliver programs and services. This infrastructure of individuals and organizations within rural states is mission-driven to serve their state's nonprofits, locally accessible because they are located in the state, and affordable to the nonprofits that need them most.
